The original house was right-sized and situated on one of the area's most desirable drives, adjacent to Cherry Hills Golf Course. The new owners set out to resurrect the home from several previous remodels while creating a home befitting the address. An upper level addition, an outdoor pool and an indoor pool were all removed to make way for the remodel. the outdoor pool was replaced with an entertainment patio while the indoor pool was replaced with two new guest suites taken from the upper level. The remodeled upper level was re purposed into an intimate reading retreat. The main level Master Suite was improved with vaulted ceilings and the original chopped up master bath was replaced with deserved luxury. A new shingle roof, replaced brick, new windows, and added trim create a home that will be a source of pride for several generations of owners. Objectives: Create quality through the use of premium materials and unmatched craftsmanship Remove low 8'0" ceilings and replace with volume and interest. Upgrade all systems for efficient and sustainable use for future generations. Create authentic detailing and continuity by abandoning modern elements not in character with the design. Increase function for today's lifestyles. Remove indoor and outdoor pool. Remove upper level bedrooms and relocation to lower level. Create a sense of family gathering allowing connection to the outdoors. Create curb appeal with a new sense of entry. Return to ranch style roots and avoid an overwhelming appearance. Create a landscape befitting a newly energized home. Maintain existing footprint and "redbrick" appeal. Reduce square footage in areas less important to an empty nester couple (upper level).
