Project Description
The overall scope of work at the entrance to Pennypack Park included an addition to the existing Environmental Center, renovation of an historic farmhouse, site improvements and a new way-finding system. Phase I construction, once completed, consisted of the Environmental Center addition. The project demanded a sensitive response to site features such as steep slopes, mature trees, and the nearby Pennypack Creek and integration of sustainable concepts with the use of passive solar gains, natural ventilations, and low-impact construction materials.
