Project Description
FROM AIA MARYLAND:
Performing Arts and Humanities Building (PAHB) is situated on 4.8 acres on the west side of Hilltop Rd, adjacent to existing Fine Arts, Engineering and ITE buildings.
Jury Comments:
The UMBC Performing Arts and Humanities Building conveys a clear concept of bringing the various art forms together to create a dynamic place. The variety of forms help moderate the scale of the complex and articulate the various functions well. The building is effectively sited in a way that not only connects the parking area to campus but the campus as a whole to the community at large.
