Project Description
Arrowstreet designed a sleek new corporate headquarters for this leading real estate developer. The project renovated a building rich with history - one of the first warehouses built by the company - into a contemporary glass and steel structure that reflects both the company’s industrial history as well as its high-tech, design-oriented future. An iconic curved roof and a torqued, faceted two-story lobby transform the existing rectangular building into a sculptural statement that is visible from a great distance along the Long Island Expressway. The building was designed to prominently feature the client’s extensive art collection and is highly sustainable, including high-efficiency systems, a super-insulated panelized building envelope, daylight harvesting, and recycled materials such as old barn boards for wood walls. It is Rechler Equity’s first building to anticipate LEED certification.
