Project Description
This previously under utilised external space has been transformed through the creation of a car free landscaped Public Realm.
Covered seating areas with power, internet and audio connectivity now provide flexible outdoor workspace surrounded by newly planted trees, shrubs and aquatic flora.
The waterways form part of the original East India Docks and have been reimagined with new weirs and waterfalls added to aerate the water and provide a healthy natural environment that is safe and pleasant for the users to enjoy.
Mirroring the success of the nearby Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), multiple habitats were introduced including, recessed bird and bat boxes on the water’s edge and low level bug biomes.
