Project Description
In its first Caribbean project, SOSH Architects effectively blended South Beach sophistication with a relaxed tropical vibe to create an outstanding destination casino. The firm worked within the existing structure to create a seamless flow between the new gaming space and the resort’s existing restaurant and poolside areas. The unassuming exterior with its standing seam metal roof and white stucco façade is offset by a color-changing LED light display at night. Diverging from traditional casino design, the bar and lounge area is surrounded by windows to optimize stunning marina views. This state-of-the-art casino has become a fast favorite of guests looking for a quick island getaway. Resort owners were so pleased with the casino’s success; they expanded the master plan to include an outdoor day/nightlife amenity and 150-room hotel.
