Project Description
The Sampson House started out as a planned post and beam home. Through the course of planning, it became painfully clear that the homeowners could not budget for that kind of build. With some creative thought, Teakwood Enterprises was able to re-design the whole house, in less than a month, to Conventional Construction. To give it that post and beam "look" we custom built all (and there are many) exterior and interior "posts and beams" on site! The basement foundation is all Superior Walls, which aided in the schedule as well as to the insulating factor. The first floor features an Open Web Truss System, this allowed us to fit all the mechanical into the floor, eliminating any bulkheads in the basement. This completely opens up the basement, giving the area a spacious feel. Along with the many beams, the Porches and Great Room have Beaded Wood Ceilings, adding character and a craftsman look. The Cathedral Ceiling in the Great Room maintains a 6" Pitch while the main roof transitions with a 6" - 12" pitch. Overall, The Sampson House provided its own challenges that Teakwood Enterprises tackled head-on! We have provided the owners with their "Dream Home" while using creative engineering to maintain their budget! Just another way to say "If You Can Dream It, We Can Build It!" Teakwood Enterprises, Inc., would love to say the Sampson House is an AWARD WINNER by making The Builders Choice Award its FIRST WIN!
