Project Description
Located in downtown Mountain View across the street from Cal Train Station 361, this infill project of 65 homes recalls the romantic character of early California eclectic neighborhoods of the 1920’s and 1930’s. The period-architecture captures elegant, state-of-the-art homes on an infill site with a neighborhood park providing a comfortable gathering place for the community. The homes were designed to replace outdated single story, tilt-up concrete office buildings and surface parking with small lot, affordable and modern, mostly detached homes. Stylish, classic elevations and contemporary floor plans with square footages ranging from 1,074 to 2,439 appeal to variety of home buyers. The single family homes range from 2-story models designed to abut the established single family neighbors across Villa Street to the South and 3-story, front and rear loaded homes sit at the heart of the project. 3-story, alley loaded, attached townhomes front Evelyn Avenue directly across from the Mountain View Cal Train station to the North. Plan One promotes “affordable by design” with 1,074 sf on a 1,000 sf micro lot with 2 bedrooms and a single car garage to entice young technologically savvy singles and couples. Plan Six offers four bedrooms plus a loft, a traditional 2-car garage, and small rear yard attracting move up families with young children. The community is planned to be GreenPoint Rated and Energy Star® Certified. The community is all just steps from downtown Mountain View and from Cal Train, making access to the high tech jobs in Silicone Valley and San Francisco commuter friendly.
