Project Description
FROM THE ARCHITECTS:
According to the old Chinese story of "Seven Wise Men of the Bamboo Grove," the bamboo grove has healing powers. In order to elicit the feeling of dining within a bamboo grove, we used the bamboo (také in Japanese) in as many ways, and everywhere possible, creating an expansive, flexible Japanese restaurant here in Hong Kong. We were able to produce a restaurant as a garden, rather than a restaurant as an interior space.
