Project Description
Murray Associates redefined the interior and exterior workplace for 800 occupants of the main building on TE’s campus that was trapped in a 1970's time capsule. The exterior envelope has undergone what occupants of the campus have called an unbelievable change. Today, large expanses of glass provide the occupants of the building views of the entire campus while allowing ample controlled natural light to penetrate deep into the interior spaces.New insulated reflective metal panels have also totally transformed the building into a new, modern building that reflects the technology savvy Corporation.
The newly renovated building now reflects a very contemporary arrangement of interior glass front executive offices, which overlook multicolored standard workstations. Occupants now have views of the campus, which previously were totally unavailable from inside this two-story structure. Numerous collaborative spaces have been introduced into the interior fabric of the building including: open kitchenettes with multiple types of seating, small to midsize breakout rooms with large glass whiteboards & access to large monitors for impromptu meetings. Informal gathering spaces were also designed where staff members can reconfigure soft seating, coffee tables, & ottomans into informal meeting spaces.
A new training center venue was designed consisting of several static training rooms & one large reconfigurable training room . These areas are equipped with the latest technology for interactive videoconferencing & usage of laptop/tablet computing. A dedicated entrance, food venue & two small breakout rooms allows the training component to operate without disturbing the adjacent staff.
