Project Description
An Urban Infill Project. The subsidized housing project will replace a mish-mash of incongruous buildings in the old center of Brussels. Looking onto an enclosed courtyard, the design uses its non-rectilinear context to advantage to create views away from its neighbors. To reduce the perception of length, a sinuous corridor allows light at the same time into the lower floor corridors as well as into the dwelling units by use of glass block.
