Project Description
A unique lakeside setting informs the design of this ground-up, single-family home. Respectful of the neighborhood, iconic, shifting gable forms are arranged to maximize seamless front-to-back lake views, as well as to enhance non-lake-facing views and allow for open living spaces. A central spine provides further connection from the entry to the lake. A double-height gallery serves as space for the owners’ extensive contemporary art collection. Primary materials and exterior finishes reflect the mountain vernacular architecture detailed in a more modern way.
