Project Description
Design of the three intake wells with approach bridges, at the Dam Reservoir. Additionally, Headwork sites with a Pump house & UG sumps (2750 m3 & 1250 m3capacity) at each site, Staff quarters, Roads, Storm drains & Sewage Collection, Thrust blocks & Valve chambers for 900 mm. dia. pipe line, etc were designed. The EPC project was commissioned by L&T. Rocky strata, very hilly terrain & space constraint were limitations at each Headwork. Careful planning of site layouts & appropriately locating various units tackled the issue. VMS’s experience in such projects helped minimise unnecessary rock excavation.
