Project Description
Westmore Linden Apartments is phase one of a senior affordable housing project in Koreatown developed by West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (WHCHC) and designed by Urban Architecture Lab.
The project startles tow zones in a commercial boulevard and a residential neighborhood. The design concentrates much of the massing along the Commercial Boulevard to the south while transitioning down to a two story building to the north to be more consistent with the residential scale. The buildings design also transitions from a more modern façade at the Boulevard to a simpler residential building to the north.
The units have been generously designed to meet all size requirements and amenity features. An open plan concept has been employed in the common areas of the units to maximize the space and feel of the unit. Additionally, this plan strategy will maximize the natural light in all common areas offering a visual connection to the outside from the living, kitchen and dining areas.
All units feature private balcony space off the living room which provides another type of common space for relaxing and living. The kitchens are generously sized with plenty of storage space and featuring energy star rated appliances and solid surface countertops. The bedrooms are also generously sized with ample closet space and natural light.
