The Lighting Research Center (LRC) in Troy, N.Y. is holding its annual Partner-Alliance Event on Sept. 5 – 6, 2018. Registration closes on Aug. 30.

The two-day event will feature a keynote by business strategist Paul Schoemaker, founder and CEO of Decision Strategies International and a pioneer in the field of decision sciences. Co-author of Winning Decisions: Getting It Right the First Time, he is “…among the first to combine the practical ideas of decision theory, behavioral economics, scenario planning, and risk management into a set of strategic decision-making tools for managers.” Schoemaker will address how the lighting industry can take stock of where it is, and what it needs to do to move forward. An established educator, Schoemaker served as research director of the Mack Institute for Innovation Management at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and taught at the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He previously spoke at the LRC’s 2003 Bridges in Light symposium.

Additional highlights of the program include a “Future of Lighting” panel moderated by Govi Rao, President & CEO of Noveda Technologies, and a presentation about the future of horticultural lighting by Erik Runkle, Professor, Dept. of Horticulture, Michigan State University. View the full program.
