Registration closes October 6 for the IALD Enlighten Americas 2017 conference, which will take place Oct. 12 – 14 at the Grand Hyatt Denver in Denver, Colo. Register at iald.me/enam17co. The three-day program offers a full lineup of educational and networking resources for lighting design professionals.
This year there is an expanded program of pre-conference events. On Wednesday evening October 11, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., there will be a walking tour of Denver hosted by the IALD Rocky Mountain chapter. RSVP required.
On Thursday afternoon October 12, from 1:00 p.m, to 5:00 p.m., there is a hands on workshop–Commissioning Lighting System Performance–led by Craig Bernecker. RSVP required.
The Conference will also feature not one, but two keynote speakers. The opening keynote, on Friday October 13, will be presented by cinematographer Roberto Schaefer, ASC/AIC. He has worked in TV and film, and his film credits include Stranger Than Fiction, The Kite Runner, Quantum of Solace, Leaves of Grass, and The Host. On Saturday October 14, the closing keynote will be given by electronic artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, known for his interactive lighting installations.
