ColorReader, Datacolor
Designed by Lawrenceville, N.J.–based Datacolor, ColorReader is a lightweight, portable color identification and matching device. This Bluetooth-enabled device pairs with a smartphone to measure color of a surface, including fabrics, tiles, and paint, and identify the closest paint patch across the collections of major paint manufacturing brands, including Behr, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Farrow & Ball, and Valspar. The device then sends the information to the ColorReader mobile app, available for iOS and Android devices, and provides access to color values of each reading, such as RGB, Hex, and CMYK, and Lab.
