Descending Window, Hirt
Inspired by Mies van der Rohe's retractable wall at Villa Tugendhat in Brno, Czech Republic, the Descending Window by Swiss window brand Hirt is a vertically retractable glass wall that slides into a ground-level pocket by a push of a button. Manufactured in Switzerland, the window system is suitable for use in a variety of projects, including high-end residential living areas, pool houses, garages, restaurants, and event venues. A counterbalanced, electro-mechanically driven mechanism ensures a smooth and silent retraction into the ground. This descending window can be custom-ordered to any size. Available in a variety of colors and finishes.
