The nature of work is changing, being driven by technological advances and economic pressures. Spaces’ is a new co-working office in The Hague, Netherlands. Spaces’ vision is that of a collaborative workspace, targeting those whose daily grind takes them in a different direction and need maximum flexibility in their environment. Members have access to a range of individual employee spaces as well as social facilities that form a business club environment.
In bringing to life their third, innovative project, the Spaces team again collaborated with the London-based architect Sevil Peach, who has focused most of her career in creating more humane and productive workplaces. Among her most distinguished projects that are worth mentioning are offices for Vitra, Sony, Mexx, Microsoft, Novartis and Tate Modern, among others.
Like in every project designed by Sevil Peach, Spaces reflects the built environment's center of gravity: people. Each room reflects a different mood and ambiance, offering variety and promoting co-working. The concept of variable collaboration is reaffirmed by the generous areas that are created for socialization: an atrium café, a dining room, soft meeting zones and team tables, while also respecting the users need for quiet individual work with study/retreat rooms.
A refined selection of products selected by Sevil's team brings a warm touch to the interiors of the building. Our pendant lighting fixture HALO, both in its circular and lineal version, is used to light up team tables. HALO conveys the feeling of light floating in the air, just like the words and ideas shared by the people gathered around the table. Furthermore, HALO is a customizable collection whose shape can be drawn to suit the space and feel of each room.
HALO’s LED strips emits up to 1500 lumens per linear or circular section and is fully dimmable using a 0-10V dimming system so as to suit the vibe of each working moment.
