The 2015 version of the AIA's Housing Awards, a program overseen by AIA National's Housing Knowledge Community, is now accepting project submissions. The projects need to be completed in the U.S. and all licensed architects are eligible to enter (although AIA members get half off the entry fee, $375 for AIA members versus $750 for nonmembers).
The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21. The five-person jury of Stephen Schreiber, FAIA, of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; Jon Dick, AIA, of Archaeo Architects in Santa Fe, N.M.; Kathy Dixon, AIA, of K. Dixon Architecture, in Upper Marlboro, Md.; Clair Enlow, a writer based in Seattle; and Jody Mcguire, AIA, of SALA Architects, in Minneapolis will select the winners in these four categories: One- and Two-Family Custom Residences, One- and Two-Family Production Homes, Multifamily Housing, and Specialized Housing.
The winners will be announced at the 2015 AIA National Convention and Design Exposition in Atlanta, which is taking place May 14 to 16.
