Portuguese Architecture Firm Turns to Jewelry

"Lace" is made from one piece of resin.

Some architect design their own homes, others their own furniture, and some, their own jewelry. Portuguese firm 38n9w Arquitectos designed a one-piece necklace out of resin. Called “Lace,” it looks reminiscent of both the firm’s arngular architecture and human biology—inspired by a bone, or veins? Good for a dramatic look. Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer also designed a line of jewelry, including sinuous gold bracelet after his own curvy architecture. • 38n9w.com
