Firm Description

D+FORM was established in New York City by Founding Partner James Harkrider in 2000 as a practice dedicated to the design and construction of modern structures and spaces that are considerate of and appropriate for the environments and contexts in which they exist. Since its inception, D+FORM has completed a variety of commercial and residential projects throughout New York City, California and Texas. The basis of our approach to the design discipline is the engagement of the client in every aspect of the design process with the result being a product of active collaboration in which our goals and those of our client’s converge to create a successful solution to the project criteria. This approach along with the thoughtful application of technology, materials, light and landscape are paramount to our design philosophy. D+FORM maintains studios in both New York City and Austin, Texas and its work has been featured in national design publications, public lecture series and exhibitions.
