J.Crew Shot the Glass House for a Fall Catalog

Photographs of Philip Johnson's 1949 house hit stores and mailboxes this month.

J.Crew

American clothier and workplace outfitter J.Crew included an architecture icon in its latest fall catalog. The company (which, in full disclosure, employed me in several retail stores in the past) photographed part of the November catalog at Philip Johnson’s Glass House in New Canaan, Conn. Sweatered and coated models obscure much of the 1949 structure in the catalog itself, but the company’s blog offers a few less commercial shots of the black steel and glass.
