LED lighting systems and technology manufacturer Color Kinetics has announced that its product lines now comply with the RoHS environmental directive. Implemented by the European Union for the European market to mandate the levels of certain hazardous susbances, RoHS restricts the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants in electrical and electronic equipment.
