Metropolis will transform downtown LA living. Its modern residences will feature spectacular views, sophisticated interiors, and exceptional amenities and conveniences that make urban living so desirable.
Metropolis is composed of three residential towers, a boutique hotel and a curated retail experience.
Metropolis will connect Los Angeles’ financial and entertainment districts and sill sit on a 6.3 acre site located on Francisco Street, bordered by 8th Street and 9th Street (James M. Wood Blvd.), only a few blocks from L.A. Live and the Staples Center, with convenient access to the Metro, 5, 10 and 110 freeways.
Upon completion Metropolis will be more than 3.5 million square feet in size and is slated for completion in 2018.
The project broke ground in February 2014 and the first phase, which includes Residential Tower 1 and the boutique hotel, is slated for completion in 2016.
Tower I will sit will sit atop a 66-foot, above-ground "podium," surrounded by a lush park with an abundance of trees, walkways, and serene reflecting pools and fire pits.
Phase I of Metropolis includes a 38-story residential tower and a 19-story boutique hotel.
Residences in Tower 1 range from $600,000’s to over $2,000,000.
With bold, Art Deco inspired architecture, balanced with clean, modern lines of today, Metropolis will redefine the Los Angeles skyline.
Offering expansive views of the city, mountains and coastline, the 38-floor (442-ft.) Tower 1 is designed to balance its scale through a sense of naturalism and intimacy.
Inside, embracing an aesthetic of "sensuous modernism," the lobby is shaped as an elongated oval with a dramatic 60-foot entryway that reflects the Art Deco influences which permeated L.A. nearly a century ago.
Other common areas will include an amenity decks with pools, cabanas, water features, an outdoor kitchen, gathering areas with BBQ’s, children’s play area and dedicated dog park.
Metropolis Los Angeles is being brought to life by Greenland USA in partnership with award-winning architectural firms Gensler and SPAN Architecture leading exterior and interior design, respectively.
