The new VOC-free EcoGlass is the latest line of textured architectural glass from Bendheim. EcoGlass contains at least 20 percent pre-consumer and up to 40 percent post-consumer recycled glass, and is manufactured in a clean-burning oxygen/fuel-fired cast glass furnace. Available in 10 textures, EcoGlass is an energy-efficient solution for curtainwalls, partitions, sliding doors, and shower enclosures, and can contribute toward LEED v.3 “Optimize Energy Performance,” “Recycled Content,” and “Daylighting Views” credits. For safety and security applications, the glass is tempered in an energy-efficient oven and laminated with environmentally sensitive materials and processes, says the company.
