We are honored to announce that ARCHITECT magazine won a Jesse H. Neal award in the Best Single Issue in the brand revenue category of between $3 million and $7 million for The Carbon Issue, published in January 2020 and guest-edited by the nonprofit Architecture 2030, founded by Edward Mazria, FAIA (also the 2021 recipient of AIA Gold Medal).

Established in 1955, the Neal Awards are the highest honor in business media, recognizing "the brightest, most tenacious and innovative journalists, content creators, and designers for their passion and exceptional work," according to a description from the Software and Information Industry Association, which administers the awards. The awards were announced this afternoon during a virtual event hosted by SIIA.

ARCHITECT was also a finalist in two other categories: the Best Subject-Related Package for its August 2020 feature well on diversity, equity, and inclusion in architecture titled "What Does Real Action Look Like?"; and Best COVID-19 Industry Coverage for its May 2020 issue "Design on the Front Line - Architecture Confronts the Coronavirus".

A number of ARCHITECT's Zonda Media sister brands—including Multifamily Executive, Builder, and Affordable Housing Finance—were also finalists and winners in their respective Neal Award categories. You can see all the finalists for the 2021 Neal Awards, here.
