Were you feeling left out, architects in Philly? Left out because New York, Washington, D.C., and Dallas all got exhibitions on building toys and you didn't? You now have until January 24th to get your fix with Constructing Play: Classic Building Toys at the Philadelphia Center for Architecture. The Philadelphia version of the history of play covers how structures stand up, displays local buildings in miniature, and shows how toy designers created today's popular building toys. Tinker Toys, Legos, Erector Sets, K'Nex—doubtless they are all in Santa's sleigh this year, making their way toward a new generation of architects, builders, and engineers. Through Jan. 24. • philadelphiacfa.org
