The following is an announcement from Michael Ford, Assoc. AIA, an architectural associate at SmithGroup and the founder of the Hip Hop Architecture Camp, opening registration for a June 6 webinar on the Hip Hop Architecture as Design Justice Competition. The event will feature guest appearances by rapper Lupe Fiasco and NBA champion and All-Star Maurice "Mo" Williams. Register for the webinar here.

Description: The challenge requires participants to use hip hop lyrics as prompts to imagine spaces, places, and products for a Just City! A city which has dismantled and defeated racism!

Who’s Eligible: Everyone of every age! This includes non-architects.

Competition Launch: Saturday, June 6, 2020Submissions Due: Friday, June 19, 2020 (8pm EST)
