The Bureau of Labor Statistics' released their occupational injuries and illness report yesterday. Across the construction industry, the rate of nonfatal occupational injuries reported by private employers was 3.6 per 100 full-time workers in 2012. The rates varied slightly across sectors: construction of buildings (3.3), heavy and civil engineering construction (3.1), and specialty trade contractors (3.8).
