On Friday, the new 16,000-square-foot Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, designed by Seattle firm Olson Kundig, opened on Washington State University's Pullman, Wash., campus. An addition and renovation to the school's old public safety building, the new museum includes a wing enclosed in a red mirrored glass façade, designed to reflect the school colors, that has been dubbed the "Crimson Cube."
The new @WSUArtMuseum opens today! Jim Olson’s design makes a bold statement with its reflective red glass façade, crafted to match WSU’s signature crimson red. The “Crimson Cube” houses formal galleries, while the adjacent entry provides a flexible, gathering space for students. pic.twitter.com/ngSv1zOCVm
