Pratt Institute Chooses KHA For Design Center Renovation

The new Design Center will feature studio space for undergraduate and graduate students in the newly renovated loft buildings.

New York City–based firm, Kliment Halsband Architects, will renovate the Juliana Terian Curran Design Center for the Pratt Institute in New York City. The institute is spread across three campuses: Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Ithaca. The firm will be in charge of reimagining 189,000 square feet of interior spaces in a cluster of existing lofts on Brooklyn the campus that will serve as labs and shops for the Pratt School of Design. The 25-acre Brooklyn campus is home to all undergraduate and graduate programs for the Pratt School of Design. The renovated Design Center will additionally cater to the graduate communication design program by expanding studio space.
