Studio BANAA is a San Francisco based architectural practice that cares about making people’s lives better through the creation of vibrant and meaningful spaces.Our practice has considerable experience working on projects of varying scales and complexity, located in a variety of environments. We particularly enjoy working directly with communities, councils and companies, to design and deliver across all scales and types of building; cultural, commercial, housing and institutional.
We are driven by a natural curiosity, and believe the best design comes from asking questions, creating conversation and challenging assumptions to make everyday life easier, more engaging, and more fun.
We are serious about creating joy. Because if we can’t design a space that makes people feel good, they won’t spend time there. We deeply consider the end user, and always look for ways to surface small moments of delight – for the chocolate that someone is serving, ice cream they are scooping or lifestyle they’re selling. So people will not only remember their time in that space, they will talk about it, and return to it again and again.
