The annual AIA Convention (#AIAcon15) is only two days away. Are your bags packed? Your schedule finalized? If not, don't fret! ARCHITECT has a checklist of items to do before you head to Atlanta. We'll see you there!
Plan your fun: Check out ARCHITECT's countdown for a list of things to do and see at the convention and around Atlanta.
Pencil in ARCHITECT Live interviews: Make sure to stop by ARCHITECT Live at booth #445 for live interviews and panel discussions on topics ranging from social impact to the ARE.
Download the AIA Convention 2015 app: for access to session materials, the schedule, an expo map, and more. Read the instructions on how to install the app onto your iOS or Android device here.
Educate yourself: Familiarize yourself with the candidates hoping to head the AIA in 2016. ARCHITECT met with the men and women running for first vice president/president-elect, treasurer, and at-large directors to talk about their goals, the benefits of AIA membership, and the Institute's "I Look Up" public awareness campaign.
Register for the keynotes: You don't want to miss out on speeches given by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Cirque de Soleil executive creative director Welby Altidor, and National Journal's Communications Council research director Julie Dixon. You also don't want to skip Saturday's keynote panel featuring Fox Business Network anchor Trish Regan; Latent Design founder Katherine Darnstadt, AIA; Ehrlich Architects founding partner Steven Ehrlich, FAIA; Moody Nolan president and CEO Curtis J. Moody, FAIA; and Eskew+Dumez+Ripple partner and director of operations Mark Ripple, AIA.
