selecting the right architecture school

1 MIN READ

Figuring out which architecture program to apply to can be a confusing, frustrating process for prospective students of design. ARCHITECT magazine has recently published an online guide that promises to help demystify the process.

The “Architecture Schools Guide 2009” sorts 50-plus architecture schools into 11 categories based on each program’s teaching and research strengths, among them schools that excel in design/build, traditional architecture, practice-based teaching, community design, building technology and construction, history and theory, and distinctive specialties. Along with undergraduate and graduate admissions requirements, the guide includes annual tuition, student demographics, and the student-to-faculty ratio (when available). Visit the guide.

As part of the schools guide, ARCHITECT also profiles several stand-out architectural studios, programs, educators, and students. Read more.
