On May 10, the Indianapolis Museum of Art officially opened the newly restored Miller House and Garden in Columbus, Indiana. Designed in the 1950’s by Eero Saarinen for J. Irwin Miller and his wife Xenia Simons Miller, the home also contains period interiors by Alexander Girard and landscape architecture by Dan Kiley.
The Miller House is open for tours Tuesdays through Sundays; go to www.imamuseum.org for visitors’ information. An all-day symposium exploring the home’s legacy will take place on May 20th; speakers will include architect Deborah Berke, FAIA, LEED AP, and landscape architect Laurie Olin.
