Project Description

The Marlow at 1800 Van Ness is a multi-family development, one of the first that came after the recent recession that virtually shut down all new residential projects in San Francisco. It sits at the corner of Van Ness Avenue & Clay Streets, in a transitional neighborhood whose proximity to Nob Hill gives it some panache. The development has 98 efficiently designed smaller housing units in a project which reinforces the urban fabric while bringing a contemporary, dynamic architectural vision to the site. The upper levels of the building allow residents to enjoy both downtown and water views. The project consist of two buildings, 8 and 4 stories, with the 8 story building containing one and two bedroom units, and the 4 story building containing three townhouses.

Marlow is a high density, low energy consumption project that has great walkability index. It is within close proximity to multiple transit lines, encouraging the residents to utilize public transportation daily. Flow-thru planters provide bio-retention and filtration features. Built-in recycling center for each unit promotes responsible waste diversion practices. High efficiency windows facilitate balanced acoustics and energy. A lush Marlow park provides a shared community space for a relaxed interaction with natural beauty.
