Project Description
L&P Architects designed science park development for Dowell Group in Wuhan, China. The core of the design is to explore the relationship of human and technology, how technology has brought us closer to improve our day-to-day life. The Dowell science park is located in the Dongxi Lake Area of Wuhan Lingkong Port which is a part of the new airport town. The project site is a part of rejuvenation of the industrial zone that is rapidly transforming into a smart and innovative zone driven by the presence of Wuhan’s new airport.
Along with the rapid growth in tech and innovation sector which sets beyond the 5G era. The project aims to accommodate the SMEs that specialize in data science and creative industry. With the new development of Wuhan, our site has become a platform for technology innovation. The project is designed to be an ergonomic human-centric tech hub that provide balance between working and lifestyle, offering outdoor indoor spaces that maximize synergy in collaboration and communication. The project includes two 70m tall office towers, three garden-style office buildings, nine incubation office buildings and commercial street retail. A primary pedestrian landscape slices the site in diagonal to introduce an efficient connection to public nodes and all buildings. The project is positioned as the brain hub where ideas can collaborate, and human potentials to be unleashed with the balance of state of art and human relationship.
