Selections Announced For Round 5 Of SSL Core Technology And Product Development The National Energy Technology Laboratory, on behalf of the DOE, has selected 14 projects to receive core technology and product development funding. In the core technology research selections, three of the seven awarded projects are exploring aspects of organic LED development, while the other four are investigating LED composition. The seven projects in the product development section explore issues of high efficiency, low cost, and a new generation of LED drivers. The projects represent $26 million in funding.
