The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published a brochure—Lighting Options for Your Home—that details the upcoming incandescent lamp phase-out. Starting in Jan. 2012, 100W incandescent lamps will be phased out followed by 75W, 60W, and 40W lamps, each successive year through 2014. California is implementing these phase-outs in a year earlier timeline. Alternative light source options include halogen, compact fluorescent, and LED. To download a copy of the brochure, click here.
