The Cortiça chaise lounge by Brooklyn, N.Y.–based designer Daniel Michalik takes advantage of the natural flexibility of cork. The 72"-long contoured chaise allows the user to rock from side to side and front to back without tipping over. Appropriately enough, the piece is made from reclaimed waste from the wine-bottle-stopper industry. It is fire-resistant and waterproof. Better yet, being made of cork, it floats. • danielmichalik.com
