“Unlike most other directories in the construction and design sector, GreenSpec does not charge for listings or for the review process,” says coeditor Alex Wilson, “and we don’t accept advertisements.” The endeavor pays for itself with the directory’s $89 cover price and the $199 annual subscription for BuildingGreen Suite, its expanded, search-able online component.
