Through March 8, visitors to New York's Times Square are encouraged to beat on a bright red heart sculpture called "HeartBeat." Designed by Brooklyn's Stereotank, the installation is this year's Times Square Valentine Heart, a design competition hosted by the Times Square Alliance and, this year, the Architectural League of New York. "HeartBeat," selected in December and opened Monday, is the seventh heart-themed sculpture in the program.
