The United States Institute for Theatre Technology has announced the winners of their architecture awards for 2014.

The top spot, the Honor award, went to Seabury Hall’s ‘A’ali’ikuhonua Creative Arts Center in Makawao, Hawaii. The arts center opened in September of 2012 and was designed by performance space consultants Theatre Projects, Boston-based Flansburgh Architects, and Hawaii-based firm Riecke Sunnland Kono Architects.

Two of the three projects that received Merit awards were in the Bay Area. The SFJazz Center, which opened in January of 2013, was designed by San Francisco-based Mark Cavagnero Associates. The Ennead Architects-designed Bing Concert Hall at Stanford University also received a Merit award.

On the other side of the country, the Jerome Robbins Theatre at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York received a Merit award as well. The project was designed by New York’s WASA/Studio A with ARUP.
