Zaha Hadid Architects has designed a temporary sculpture for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The aluminum sculpture, titled “Crest,” straddles a water pool in the museum’s John Medejski Garden, and will be on display until late October when it will move to its final resting place at the ME Dubai hotel, opening in 2016 in the London-based firm‘s Opus building.
The installation is part of the London Design Festival, which runs from Sept. 13 to 21. Hotel brand ME by Meliá commissioned “Crest,” and it was engineered by BuroHappold and fabricated by Lite Structures.
