On Monday, Jan. 13, a jury of independent architects, educators, and planners outside New York City selected the winners of the 2025 AIA New York Design Awards across the categories of architecture, interios, projects, and urban design.

Each award-winning project, recognized with an honor, merit, or citation, was selected for its exceptional design quality, responsiveness to its context and community, effective program resolution, innovation, thoughtfulness, and technical excellence. Eligible submissions were required to be completed by AIANY members, architects/designers practicing in New York, or by architects/designers based outside New York who worked on New York-based projects.

Winning projects will be recognized at the Honors and Awards Luncheon, scheduled for

Friday, April 25, at Cipriani Wall Street. The Center for Architecture will host an exhibition of the winning projects Thursday, May 8 at 6 p.m. through Tuesday, Sept. 2.
