The AIA announced the winners of this year's I Look Up Film Challenge, an annual program that was launched in 2015. The three winners of the 2016 challenge are: "Arch 335: Rebuilding Medcamps" by Brad Deal, Robert Brooks, and Michael Tolar (Grand Prize); "20×10" by Patrick Higgins and Kurt Hanley (second place/runner-up); and "Build Back Better" by OPN Architects and Sam Fathallah (third prize). Voting for the People's Choice Award is open through Oct. 3. Submissions to the 2016 contest increased to 46 entries, up from 26 in the contest's first year. All four winning films will be screened at festivals across the country, and the Grand Prize and People's Choice Award winning teams will each receive a $2,500 award.
