The Green Building Certification Institute has Begun Testing for LEED Credentials

1 MIN READ

The Green Building Certification Institute, Washington, D.C., has begun testing for the LEED Green Associate and LEED Accredited Professional Operations and Maintenance credentials. (LEED is a green-building rating system from the U.S. Green Building Council.) The LEED Green Associate credential represents the knowledge and skills needed in the allied professions and nontechnical fields of practice related to green design, construction, and operations. LEED AP O+M recognizes advanced knowledge in sustainable operations and specialized expertise in best-management practices required for greening existing buildings. Attaining LEED AP O+M is a two-part process; the candidate must pass the LEED Green Associate exam to demonstrate general knowledge then pass an operations and maintenance specialty exam.
