The Seattle Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) launches the AIA+2030 Professional Series: Prepare for the New Energy Future next year. The series consists of ten sessions each lasting four hours and taking place once a month from January through October 2012. Held in Seattle’s City Hall, sessions will cover various methods and strategies to help architects, engineers, and other industry pros create buildings that meet the Architecture 2030 challenge of 60-percent reduction in fossil fuel greenhouse gas emissions. The cumulative information presented in each session endeavors to increase participants’ understanding of what goes into super-efficient design. Practitioners and educators with expertise in this field will offer various approaches and techniques illustrated by regional and national case studies.
Registration is for the entire series only and is open to AIA members, associate members, and non-members for varying prices.
