The Illuminating Engineering Society Los Angeles Section (IESLA) presented the 2017 Lumen West Awards at its 20th annual awards dinner held on June 24, 2017, at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The event drew a record-breaking attendance of more than 400 guests from the design and manufacturing sectors of the lighting industry. Awards were presented in two categories: The Lumen Award of Excellence, the highest level of recognition for permanent architectural application, and the Lumen Award of Merit, in recognition for a meritorious permanent architectural application.
Overall, the jury selected 27 projects to receive awards from an entry pool of more than 66 submissions from Los Angeles Section members. (The Orange County Section received 32 entries. Ms. Iannello, along with David Komonosky, Principal, Performance Lighting Systems in Orange County, Calif. managed the judging process for the local section awards jury.
